  2. Also, briefly, theoretically unbounded scaling like that is rarely found on efficient 1/1s with a keyword thrown in for kicks. Above the curve, but certainly not broken.

    Last niggling thing: What exactly is the flavor of this ability supposed to be besides vaguely referencing the fact that deserts are colorless lands?

  3. Truth be told, there isn't a whole lot of flavor. The "colorless only" deal would fit better on a colorless card. My main reason for including it was just to limit the Raiders' power level.

  4. It'd fit better, but it's more fun when the card creates tension between requiring color to cast and colorless to activate.

    Frankly, that tension is interesting enough that the back of my brain has already designed two or three "Colorless matters" cards.
